Five iconic trees in Wytham Woods
Since 2015 I have been an artist-in-residence in Wytham Woods painting single trees. Working on site in pastel as the seasons change: the recently fallen Gibson Gate Hornbeam, the Broad Oak, the Chalet Beach, and an Ash tree on Rough Common (see image). This year’s tree is a much filmed oak on the periphery of the wood.
