Drawn to Trees
Blandy’s centrepiece is a six-year daily study of a single apple tree in a North London garden, begun in the first lockdown and still ongoing, an archive now numbering in the thousands, and quietly documented on Instagram (@john2art).
Through years of returning to the same trees, Blandy’s pastels build into a record of place and changing seasons, offering a timely angle on climate and sustained attention to the natural world.
